Ric Ross is a Certified Clinical Embryologist and CFAS Accredited Laboratory Director that brings 20 years and over 30,000 IVF cases of experience to Effortless IVF as our National Laboratory Director.
Ric will oversee all Effortless embryology and Andrology labs across the country, as well as acting as a "hands-on" Embryologist as needed. He has been on the cutting edge of IVF technology in helping develop several companies that do Diagnostic Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis and Screening on embryos. Ric has helped build, worked in and consulted for many high volume clinics around the globe, but now, having been born and raised on a ranch in Alberta, he is looking forward to helping fellow Canadians who require help on their fertility journey.
Dr. Andrew Mok is a Clinical Director of OriginElle Fertility Clinic. He is also an Associate Obstetrician & Gynecologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He has specialized in fertility treatments and reproductive technologies since 1979. His involvement with Assisted Reproductive Technologies dates back to the mid 1980s. He holds an Honors B. Sc. degree in Biochemistry and he is a graduate from the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University. He received his Reproductive Endocrinology fellowship and post fellowship trainings at the McGill affiliated hospitals.
Dr.Mok’s main interests and expertise include minimal invasive surgeries (MIS), including but not limited to operative resectoscopy, hysteroscopy and video-laparoscopy. He is Board Certified both in the United States and in Canada, and holds membership in numerous medical societies including the Canadian Medical Association, the Quebec Medical Association, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Society for Reproductive Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Oberg graduated from University of Alberta School of Medicine in 1983. In 1993, he entered politics and was first elected in June of that year as the MLA for Bow Valley. Former Premier Ralph Klein appointed him chair of the Premier’s Council on the Family, and later the Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Healthcare Restructuring in 1995. He also held a number of senior Ministerial portfolios including Minister of Social Services, Minister of Learning, Minister of infrastructure and Transportation, and Minister of Finance. After an unsuccessful leadership run in 2006, Dr. Oberg left politics in 2008 to participate in the private sector. He is VP Business Development for ToolSafe, a company that patented a workplace safety tool adaptor and President of Effortless IVF Canada. Dr. Oberg brings a wealth of political, medical and business experience to Effortless IVF. Dr. Oberg’s sole focus will be establishing Effortless IVF as a national brand. Dr. Oberg does not provide any direct medical services to Effortless IVF clinics.
Jason has spent more than 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry serving in a variety of roles including sales, marketing, business development, business unit management, government affairs and global advisory teams. Jason left the pharmaceutical business in 2008 to establish Kian Consulting Inc., an investment firm focused on partnering with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector to broaden the delivery of medical products and services. In the years that followed, Jason established three additional companies, Kelowna Regional Fertility Centre (2008), Invaron Pharmaceuticals (2009) and Effortless IVF Canada (2015). Jason now serves as CEO of Effortless IVF Canada.
Holly Corneil is our office manger, she has more than 10 years managing medical clinics, including experience in cardiology, family medicine, and pediatrics. Specializing in clinic HR, hiring, training, administrative and business practices, EMR, scheduling and patient relations. Not only is she proud to be apart of the effortless team, to help couples and individuals achieve their dream of becoming parents, but she strives to make a difference in patient experience as well as the success of the clinic.
Rebecca works at our Calgary clinic as Nurse Coordinator. Shortly after graduating she obtained her immunization certificate. She has experience working in obstetrics where she achieved her neonatal resuscitation certification. Rebecca then furthered her passion in helping families by working at the Regional Fertility Program in Calgary and now is honoured to be helping more families grow at Effortless IVF in Calgary
Hilary is our Andrologist at our Calgary clinic. She graduated from NAIT with a diploma in Animal Health Technology in May 2016 and went on to work in the bovine reproduction industry as a lab tech specializing in andrology and embryology before making the transition to human fertility. Hilary is very eager to expand her knowledge and experience in fertility through Effortless IVF as she realizes her goal of helping families grow with the use of assisted reproduction technology.
Brigette is our Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist at our Calgary clinic. She is new to the medical field. She graduated from Medical Reception College Ltd with her Medical Office Assistant Diploma. Brigette is thrilled to be apart of our team, eager to learn and loves that she can be apart of something that can help families grow.
Dr Alhajri is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility subspecialist. After medical school she had her residency and fellowship training in obstetrics and Gynaecology/ Reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the university of Toronto. She worked overseas for ten years as a full time IVF subspecialist and now returns to join the effortlessivf group to contribute in her field to patient care. She is particularly interested in PCOS and fertility preservation. She is a fellow of the royal college of Canada and the American college of Obstetrics and gynaecology, and a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Brittany is an embryologist at our Ottawa clinic. She has recently converted to human embryology, having previously worked in animal reproduction and embryology. Brittany received her doctorate from Louisiana State University in 2018, where her research focused on improving our understanding of oocyte maturation and improving IVF protocols. Brittany continues to research and look for new methods to improve human in vitro embryo development rates to ensure clients will be getting the highest possible success rates. She looks forward to applying her skills towards helping families grow.
